The exchange rate between the US Dollar and the Nigerian Naira at the parallel market, popularly known as the black market (Aboki FX), has been revealed for Thursday, April 16, 2026.
According to sources from Bureau De Change (BDC) operators in Lagos, the Dollar is currently being sold at ₦1400 and bought at ₦1390 in the black market.

Meanwhile, official rates from the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) show a lower range compared to the parallel market.

The CBN has consistently maintained that it does not recognize the black market and has advised individuals seeking foreign exchange transactions to go through authorized financial institutions.
It is important to note that foreign exchange rates may vary depending on location, demand, and volume of transactions, meaning the actual rate at which individuals buy or sell may differ slightly from the figures stated above.
