The football community in Nigeria and Italy has been thrown into deep mourning following the tragic death of 25-year-old midfielder, Emmanuel King Okoye, who passed away after sustaining a severe head injury during a football match.

Okoye reportedly collapsed on the pitch on Wednesday while participating in a game in his hometown in Nigeria, where he had travelled to spend time with family. Despite efforts to save his life, Okoye was later pronounced dead.
