The African Democratic Congress (ADC) has announced a change of venue for its much-anticipated National Convention scheduled for Tuesday, April 14, 2026.

In a statement posted on its official X (formerly Twitter) handle on Monday, the party confirmed that the convention will now take place at the Rainbow Event Center, located in Area 8, Garki, Abuja.

Providing details of the new location, the party stated that the venue sits at Plot 1193A, off Southern Parkway, behind the FCDA/AGIS Building, and is close to the Nigerian Television Authority headquarters in Area 11.

The development follows earlier reports that authorities in the Federal Capital Territory allegedly declined the ADC’s request to use major public venues, including the Eagle Square and the Moshood Abiola National Stadium, for the event.

Despite the last-minute change, the party leadership expressed readiness to proceed with the convention as scheduled, assuring members and stakeholders that all necessary arrangements have been finalized at the new venue.

The ADC National Convention is expected to draw party delegates, officials, and observers from across the country, as the party prepares to deliberate on key issues and strengthen its internal structures ahead of future political activities.
