IPOB Draws Battle Line, Insists Monday Sit-At-Home Must Hold — Disowns Ejiofor, Alleges Deep Infiltration

The Indigenous People of Biafra has issued a stern clarification, declaring that the Monday sit-at-home directive remains valid, binding, and sacrosanct, despite what it described as a calculated campaign of lies and impersonation aimed at misleading the public.

In a strongly worded statement signed by Comrade Emma Powerful, the group warned that individuals allegedly working for political interests and government forces while parading as IPOB members would soon be exposed.

IPOB emphasized that the sit-at-home order is a deliberate act of solidarity with its detained leader, Mazi Nnamdi Kanu, and not subject to reversal by “unauthorized voices.”

IPOB Disowns Ejiofor, Rejects Counter-Directives

The group firmly stated that Ifeanyi Ejiofor has no standing within IPOB, stressing that he was removed from any association with the movement more than two years ago.

IPOB dismissed claims circulating online that Emma Powerful had resigned or “does not exist,” describing them as deliberate fabrications designed to weaken public resolve.

According to the statement, recent attempts were made to pressure the IPOB spokesperson to stop issuing statements calling attention to Kanu’s continued detention — efforts that were flatly rejected.

Alleged Compromise Within DOS

IPOB further accused some individuals within the Directorate of State (DOS) of betraying the struggle by allegedly holding talks with Charles Soludo, with the intention of neutralizing the support shown by traders of Onitsha Main Market.

The group described such engagements as “a direct assault on the conscience of the movement” and warned that accountability would follow.

Fake Resignations, Online Confusion

The statement urged the public to ignore all resignation letters and announcements attributed to Emma Powerful, insisting they are forged and part of a wider psychological operation to confuse Biafrans.

IPOB alleged that anti-Biafra forces have taken over segments of the online space, using IPOB and DOS identities to spread misinformation and weaken unity.

Media Appearances Confirmed

Emma Powerful confirmed that he would be granting radio, television, and media interviews from Monday through Tuesday morning to further clarify IPOB’s position and counter false narratives.

Final Advisory to the Public

IPOB called on Biafrans to remain vigilant, reject misinformation, and fully comply with the Monday sit-at-home order, maintaining that the broader IPOB family remains steadfast despite alleged infiltration at certain levels.

“Truth cannot be buried by propaganda. Those behind these lies will be unmasked,” the statement concluded.
