Obasa Declares 2027 Election Will Be a ‘Walkover’ for Tinubu

The Speaker of the Lagos State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. Mudashiru Obasa, has expressed confidence that President Bola Tinubu will secure re-election in 2027 with ease.

Obasa made the declaration at the weekend during the official launch of the Tinubu 2027 mobilisation initiative in Ojokoro Local Council Development Area (LCDA), Lagos. The event, which drew politicians, traditional rulers, and socio-cultural leaders, was held at the local government playing ground.

Commending Ojokoro residents for their mobilisation efforts, the Speaker urged members of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in the area to promote unity and intensify advocacy on permanent voter card (PVC) collection.

“The president is doing wonderfully well. Within two years his achievements are unprecedented, we can imagine what more he will still do,” Obasa said.

“Let’s play our parts by being available to our people and by drawing them closer. If we do this, I am sure the election will be a walkover for APC and President Bola Tinubu come 2027.”

Emmanuel Olotu, coordinator of the initiative and lawmaker representing Ifako-Ijaiye Constituency II, also spoke at the launch. He said the campaign demonstrates that Ojokoro remains a stronghold of President Tinubu, adding that structures had been established to galvanise massive grassroots support.

“Indeed, a good turn deserves another,” Olotu said, noting the president’s achievements since assuming office in 2023.
