Akwa Ibom State Governor, Pastor Umo Eno, has approved a reshuffle of the State Executive Council in a bid to strengthen governance and align ministries with the objectives of the ARISE Agenda.
The announcement was contained in a statement issued on Monday by the Secretary to the State Government, Prince Enobong Uwah.
According to the statement, retired Capt. Iniobong Ekong has been redeployed to head the Ministry of Trade and Investment, while Dr. Ubong Inyang takes over as Commissioner for Lands and Town Planning, a portfolio previously overseen by Ekong.
Prince Uwah noted that the adjustment was designed to enhance service delivery and accelerate the implementation of priority policies under the Governor’s blueprint.
The statement added that the changes take effect immediately.
