Among the notable executives affected by this decision are Tony Akiotu, Tosin Dokpesi, Ambrose Somide, Paulyn Ugbodaga, and Tony Uyah. Tosin Dokpesi, widow of the late Chief Raymond Dokpesi—founder of Daar Communications—who passed away on May 29, 2023, following a fall during a routine gym exercise, is one of the key figures impacted.

Chief Raymond Dokpesi’s son, Raymond Dokpesi Jr., has been leading the company as chairman since 2019, navigating through turbulent times. Under his leadership, Daar Communications reported a financial loss of N1.6 billion for the year ending December 31, 2023, highlighting the challenges the company has faced.
