1. Yahaya Bello: Kogi Court Summons EFCC Chairman Over Alleged Contempt


   A High Court in Lokoja has summoned the Chairman of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC), Ola Olukoyede, over allegations of contempt of court. The court issued the summons following claims that the EFCC disobeyed a court order. Justice I.A. Jamil declared that the recent attempt by EFCC operatives to arrest Alhaji Yahaya Bello, former Governor of Kogi State, violated a standing court directive.


2. President Tinubu Arrives In Saudi Arabia


   President Bola Tinubu has arrived in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, ahead of a special meeting of the World Economic Forum. Tinubu's visit follows his state trip to the Kingdom of the Netherlands. The World Economic Forum meeting aims to foster global collaboration, growth, and energy for development, with over 1,000 leaders expected to attend.

   The Executive Secretary of the Tertiary Education Trust Fund (TETFund), Sonny Echono, has refuted claims of being arrested and detained by the Independent Corrupt Practices and Other Related Offences Commission (ICPC). Echono denied receiving any invitation from the ICPC and clarified that one of TETFund's directors was briefly detained before being released.

   President Bola Tinubu has appointed Dr. Innocent Bariate Barikor as the Director-General of the National Environmental Standards and Regulation Enforcement Agency (NESREA), and Prince Ebitimi Amgbare as the Managing Director/CEO of the Niger Delta River Basin Development Authority (NDRBDA).

10. Military Commander Shot Dead In Katsina


    A military commander stationed at an army camp in Katsina state was reportedly killed in an ambush. The commander was ambushed at Malali village in Kankara local government area while responding to a distress call. Security sources confirmed the incident, highlighting the challenges posed by banditry in the region.
