The Nigerian Army has recorded significant operational successes across multiple regions, including the interception of suspected terrorist supplies, prevention of attacks, and rescue of abducted civilians within the past 24 hours.

According to an operational report released on Monday, troops under Operation Hadin Kai intercepted a truck loaded with large quantities of medical supplies believed to be intended for terrorist groups in the North-East.

The interception took place at a checkpoint in Nguru, Yobe State, where the driver initially presented documentation indicating the cargo contained beverages and household items. However, a thorough search uncovered hundreds of cartons of medical supplies, including antibiotics, injections, bandages, and other essential items.

The driver and three other occupants were arrested. During interrogation, the driver reportedly confessed that the consignment was destined for the Republic of Chad via Geidam.

In a related operation, troops apprehended a suspected member of ISWAP/JAS in Ngamdu, Borno State. The suspect allegedly revealed he had been sent from Jilli to procure food items for insurgents and disclosed that terrorists were regrouping around Gubio and Magumeri areas.

Further operations in Monguno led to the arrest of two suspected collaborators accused of aiding the movement of family members linked to a terrorist commander. Security operatives recovered mobile phones, cash, and other items, while a woman and her three children associated with a terrorist kingpin were also taken into custody.

Troops also thwarted an attempted terrorist infiltration in Askira Uba Local Government Area of Borno State. Following an ambush, insurgents were forced to retreat, abandoning weapons and other materials. Subsequent operations led to the rescue of three kidnapped victims from a terrorist hideout.

In Bama Local Government Area, troops destroyed a terrorist camp during clearance operations, compelling insurgents to withdraw.

Elsewhere, troops of Operation Safe Haven in Plateau State recovered weapons during stop-and-search operations and arrested a suspected gunrunner. In Bauchi State, additional kidnapped victims were rescued following intelligence gathered from earlier airstrikes.

In the Federal Capital Territory, troops conducting anti-illegal mining operations raided a site in Gwagwalada, recovering equipment while suspects fled.

Meanwhile, in the South-South region, troops under Operation Delta Safe responded to a communal clash in Delta State, restoring order after one fatality was recorded. They also intensified operations against illegal oil bunkering in Rivers State, dismantling illegal refining sites and recovering large quantities of stolen crude oil and refined products.

Military authorities reaffirmed their commitment to sustaining pressure on criminal and terrorist networks while ensuring the safety and security of citizens nationwide.
