The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) has announced the release of results for candidates who sat for the 2026 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME) on Thursday, April 16.

In a statement issued on Friday by its spokesperson, Fabian Benjamin, the Board disclosed that a total of 632,788 results are now available for candidates to check.

Candidates have been advised to access their results by sending “UTMERESULT” via SMS to 55019 or 66019 using the same phone number used during registration. JAMB noted that, for now, candidates can only view their scores, as printing of result slips has not yet been enabled.

The Board also issued a stern warning against any attempt to manipulate or falsify result messages obtained through official channels. It emphasized that altering scores to mislead others, including parents, is a serious criminal offence.

JAMB revealed that enforcement actions are already underway, with two candidates and one parent currently in custody for allegedly falsifying results using artificial intelligence and other electronic methods. It warned that anyone found guilty would face the full weight of the law.

The Board further assured candidates and stakeholders that the examination process is ongoing, adding that more results will be released in batches as they are processed.
