A former chairman of Konshisha Local Government Area in Benue State, Hon. Moses Shirsha, has died just four days after the passing of his wife, Mercy Mngu.

According to available information, his wife died suddenly on March 25, 2026, throwing the family and community into mourning.

Tragedy struck again on March 29, when Shirsha reportedly slumped and died in his village while making arrangements for his late wife’s burial.

The heartbreaking development has left residents in shock, as both husband and wife will now be laid to rest on the same day.

Family sources disclosed that the couple will be buried on Friday, April 10, 2026, in Mbaasuku, Mbator Gaav, located in Konshisha Local Government Area of Benue State.

The incident has sparked widespread grief in the community, with many describing it as a painful and rare occurrence.
