At least three security operatives were reportedly killed on Wednesday, November 12, in Idadu, Agbashi Development Area, Doma Local Government Area, Nasarawa State, following an ambush by suspected bandits.

According to community sources, the victims—a police officer attached to the Agbashi Police Division and two vigilante members—were on a joint patrol along the Doma–Idadu Road when gunmen attacked them with “commando-style precision,” opening fire without warning or negotiation.

The attack marks a continuation of escalating violence in the region, where at least seven people have reportedly been killed in neighbouring Keana and Doma communities over the past week. Residents described the bandits as heavily armed and said the killings have heightened fear and insecurity in the area.

Despite assurances from the Nasarawa State Government that security operations have been intensified, locals claim that no suspects have been apprehended, fueling frustration and calls for urgent intervention from both federal authorities and the international community.

At the time of reporting, security agencies had yet to release an official statement regarding the incident.
