How to Apply for NAF Basic Military Training Course 46/2025

The Nigerian Air Force (NAF) has announced the commencement of online registration for the Airmen and Airwomen Basic Military Training Course (BMTC 46/2025), offering an opportunity for eligible Nigerians to join the service.

According to a statement released by Air Vice Marshal A.H. Bakari on behalf of the Chief of the Air Staff, the application process is free of charge and will run from October 14 to November 25, 2025.

Applicants are to submit their applications exclusively through the official recruitment portal: www.nafrecruitment.airforce.mil.ng.


Application Guidelines

The NAF urged all interested candidates to carefully read the instructions on the portal before filling out their forms.

Upon completing the application, candidates must print and complete the following documents:

  • Acknowledgment Form

  • Parent/Guardian Consent Form

  • Local Government Area Attestation Form

The attestation form must be signed by a Military Officer (not below Wing Commander rank), a Police Officer (not below Chief Superintendent), a Local Government Chairman or Secretary, or a Magistrate from the applicant’s state of origin.

Each signee must attach a passport photograph and a copy of a valid identification document, such as a National ID Card, Driver’s Licence, or International Passport.

The NAF cautioned that invalid applications will not generate forms and warned applicants to ensure that all information provided is accurate and verifiable.


Eligibility Requirements

Applicants must be Nigerian citizens and meet the medical, physical, and psychological fitness standards of the Air Force.

  • Minimum Height: 1.66 m for males and 1.63 m for females.

For Non-Tradesmen and Non-Tradeswomen

  • Age: 18–22 years.

  • Education: At least five credits, including English and Mathematics, in not more than two sittings in WAEC, NECO, GCE, NABTEB, or NBAIS.

  • Must provide a secondary school testimonial.

For Tradesmen and Tradeswomen

  • Age: 18–27 years.

  • Education: Possess a National Diploma (ND) or NCE with at least a Lower Credit, and the same five-credit minimum.

  • Must hold a valid trade test certificate and driver’s licence for applicable roles.

For Sportsmen and Sportswomen

  • Must provide certificates, medals, or other evidence of professional experience.

All applicants must have no prior criminal convictions.


Selection Process

The Zonal General Aptitude Test for shortlisted candidates will be conducted on a date to be announced later on the recruitment portal.
Only successful candidates from the aptitude test will be invited for the final selection interview.
