The Lagos State Universal Basic Education Board (LASUBEB) has announced the opening of its online application portal for the recruitment of teachers across the state.

In a statement signed on Monday, the board’s Executive Chairman said the exercise, approved by Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu, is aimed at attracting qualified candidates to strengthen the delivery of quality education in Lagos schools.

Eligibility and Qualifications

According to LASUBEB, the recruitment exercise is open to candidates with the following qualifications:

• NCE holders

• B.A (Ed), B.Sc (Ed), B.Ed

• HND + PGDE, BA + PGDE, B.Sc + PGDE

Applicants must apply strictly online via the official portal: https://subebjobs.lagosstate.gov.ng. The board emphasized that physical submissions will not be entertained.

Required Documents

Applicants are expected to upload the following documents:

• O’Level Certificate (WAEC, NECO, NABTEB)

• Degree or NCE Certificate

• NYSC Discharge or Exemption Certificate (where applicable)

However, notifications or statements of results issued beyond two years will not be accepted.

Transparency and Deadline

LASUBEB reiterated that the recruitment process is completely free, warning applicants to disregard anyone demanding payment.

“LASUBEB has not engaged or authorised any individual or group to collect money for this exercise. The application is absolutely free,” the statement read.

The application portal will close on October 14, 2025.
