Pastor Enoch Adeboye |
During a sermon, Pastor Adeboye shared the story of a man working in Lagos who received news that his sister, living in the Eastern part of Nigeria, had passed away. The man pleaded with his family not to bury her until he could get time off from work and travel for the burial. By the time he was able to make arrangements, it had already been 11 days since her death.
However, the man carried with him a handkerchief that had been anointed by Pastor Adeboye. Upon reaching his deceased sister, he laid the handkerchief on her body and commanded her to rise from the dead. According to Adeboye, the woman miraculously came back to life.
The claim has sparked a variety of reactions on social media. One user, Whykavelli, remarked skeptically, “On today’s episode of things that never happened.” Another commenter, Peace of Mind, added, “The fact that most people don’t believe it happened doesn’t mean it didn’t happen.”
Others, like Okah Eweh Edede, dismissed the account, stating, “This is complete bullsh!t. When mortals transcend to the atrium of immortality, the soul is released after 3 days, and absolutely nothing can bring it back again.”
On the other hand, Aklemz defended the belief in miracles, saying, “But why does this generation not believe in miracles when Christ himself said we’d outdo him if we believe? There’s nothing the power of God can’t do.”
The story has drawn significant attention, sparking debates about faith, miracles, and the power of God.
