Emmynet24 —Protesters in the Federal Capital Territory, Abuja, part of the EndBadGovernance movement, have defied a court order by refusing to converge at the Moshood Abiola Stadium, instead opting for the popular Berger Roundabout.
Earlier reports indicated that an FCT High Court issued an order on Wednesday stating that the protest could only be held at the stadium.
In an initial show of compliance, the protesters gathered at the stadium on Thursday but resisted efforts by security operatives to confine the protest within the stadium premises.
Activist Deji Adeyanju reported that the protesters decided to leave the stadium after thugs arrived in buses, creating a tense atmosphere. This morning, the protesters chose to gather at Berger Roundabout instead.
The situation remains tense as the protesters continue to voice their demands for better governance, despite the court order and the presence of security personnel.
