David Olaniyi Oyedepo, the presiding bishop of the Living Faith Church Worldwide, has called on Nigerian youth to prioritize seeking divine guidance before making decisions to leave the country. Speaking during the impartation service at the church’s Annual Youths Alive Convention (AYAC2024) on Saturday, August 17, Bishop Oyedepo emphasized the significance of consulting God rather than hastily embarking on emigration plans without His direction.

The respected religious leader underscored the importance of relying on God’s guidance for achieving success, cautioning against the temptation to impose personal plans without seeking divine counsel. He highlighted the challenges of navigating a tumultuous era, urging young people to find moments of solitude to truly listen to God’s voice.

“Don’t pack your bag and ask God if you should go. Don’t tempt God. Ask God for His plan because His plan is already blessed,” Bishop Oyedepo advised. He further elaborated, “You need an ornament of a quiet and meek spirit to hear God speak. One must be in the spirit to hear the voice of the spirit, and one must be spiritual to embrace the voice of the spirit.”

The message, as reported by Vanguard, serves as a reminder for Nigerian youth to remain spiritually attuned and seek divine direction in all aspects of their lives, particularly when considering life-altering decisions such as relocating abroad.
