NFL Player Khyree Jackson Among Three Killed in High-Speed Crash in Maryland

NFL player Khyree Jackson
was among three people killed early Saturday morning in a crash involving three vehicles in Prince George’s County, Maryland. Jackson, a 24-year-old cornerback for the Minnesota Vikings, was in the front passenger seat of a maroon Dodge Charger at the time of the incident.

The crash occurred shortly before 3:15 a.m. on June 6, according to a police news release. The Charger, driven by 23-year-old Isaiah Hazel, also carried 24-year-old Anthony Lytton. Both Hazel and Jackson died at the scene, while Lytton was taken to a hospital where he later succumbed to his injuries.

Police reports indicate that a silver Infiniti, traveling northbound on Route 4 at a high speed, attempted to change lanes and struck the Charger. The Infiniti then collided with a Chevrolet Impala. The driver of the Infiniti, identified as 23-year-old Cori Clingman, was allegedly driving at a high rate of speed, which contributed to the crash.

Investigators believe alcohol may have been a factor in the crash, and charges are pending. The impact of the crash caused the Charger to veer off the road and collide with multiple tree stumps before coming to a stop.

Clingman and two other passengers in the Infiniti were not injured. The driver of the Impala was also unharmed and refused medical treatment at the scene.

The tragic accident has sent shockwaves through the community, mourning the loss of the young NFL player and the other victims.
