Former Senator Ayogu Eze, who represented the Enugu North Senatorial District in the National Assembly, has reportedly died. The news comes following a period of illness, culminating in his passing at an Abuja hospital, as reported by Daily Post. 

Senator Eze, previously known as a Senate spokesman, had been battling health challenges, preventing him from attending significant family events, including his child's wedding earlier this year in Lagos State. 

A founding member of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Senator Eze later defected to the All Progressives Congress (APC) and pursued candidacy in the Enugu State gubernatorial election. His demise marks the end of a distinguished political career and leaves a void in Enugu State politics.
