ADC Convention Will Hold Despite Disruptions, Says Dino Melaye

A member of the African Democratic Congress (ADC) Convention Planning Committee, Dino Melaye, has declared that no obstacle will prevent the party from holding its scheduled national convention.

Speaking on Arise Television’s Morning Show on Tuesday, Melaye dismissed reports suggesting that the event might be disrupted due to issues with the venue. He stated that the party had secured the location through a valid contract and had completed all required payments.

According to him, there were attempts to hinder the convention, including moves to shut the venue’s gates and evict organizers. However, he said the planning committee resisted the pressure, insisting on their legal right to use the facility.

Melaye reaffirmed the party’s determination to proceed with the convention, emphasizing that the African Democratic Congress remains focused on strengthening its position ahead of future political contests. He also expressed confidence in the party’s ability to challenge the ruling All Progressives Congress.
