Nigerian comedian and activist, Mr. Macaroni, has taken a swipe at the administration of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu over what he described as the government’s inability to curb the persistent insecurity affecting several parts of the country.

Speaking via his social media page, Mr. Macaroni reacted to recent violent incidents, including the abduction of schoolchildren and the killing of a senior military officer. He expressed frustration over the continued activities of armed groups across different regions.

According to him, the situation raises concerns about the government’s commitment to delivering on its promise to make security a top priority.

Mr. Macaroni wrote:

“This is a very useless and irresponsible government feasting on the blood of innocent Nigerians! As in I don’t understand, school children have been kidnapped, a general killed, and everything is fine??? Why should any part of this country be occupied by terrorists? In any civilized country, Tinubu should resign!”

Meanwhile, tension has heightened in the Kagarko Local Government Area of Kaduna State following the abduction of Reverend Father Markus Samari.

The cleric was kidnapped from his residence in the Kuse-Gudu community on Sunday evening.

Daily Trust reports that one Emmanuel Yaro was killed during the attack.

A resident, Salihu Mahmud, told journalists that the incident occurred at about 5:37 p.m. when armed men stormed the priest’s residence shortly after he returned from church activities.

Security agencies have yet to release an official statement on the incident, and efforts to rescue the cleric are ongoing.
