Nollywood actress Iyabo Ojo has vowed to initiate fresh legal proceedings against her colleague, Lizzy Anjorin, over alleged defamatory statements and threats directed at her family.

This comes months after the Lagos State High Court, Osborne Division, struck out Ojo’s ₦1 billion defamation suit against Anjorin, citing procedural irregularities. The court also ordered Ojo’s lawyer, Olabimpe Ajegbomogun, to pay ₦500,000 in costs to Anjorin’s counsel, Ademola Olabiyi.

The long-running feud between the actresses has continued to play out across social media and the courts. In multiple Facebook live sessions, Anjorin has mocked Ojo, sparking a wave of parody videos on TikTok and Facebook.

In a lengthy Instagram post on Monday, Ojo revealed that her legal team has been documenting all remarks made by Anjorin.

“My legal team isn’t sleeping. They are taking note of everything. A wise person listens to learned counsel. Everything has its timing,” Ojo wrote.

While admitting that some parody videos amused her, Ojo expressed deep concern about the impact of Anjorin’s alleged curses and threats on her family, particularly her grandson.

“The insults, curses, even death wishes Liz has directed at my family, especially my grandson, are heartbreaking,” she said. “Most times, I struggle to hold my peace, but I choose to ignore the distractions. Who God has blessed, no one can curse.”

Ojo added that her priority in recent months had been supporting her daughter and welcoming her first grandchild but hinted at firmer steps once she returned to Lagos.

Tensions escalated earlier this year when Ojo alleged that Anjorin should be held responsible if anything happened to her or her family. The claim came after a fire incident at her Lagos office, which her daughter, Priscilla, linked to ongoing threats — including a letter in May alleging their movements were under surveillance.

Ojo has previously explained that her fallout with Anjorin began after she publicly expressed support for Folashade Tinubu, the wife of Anjorin’s husband, which she said provoked attacks and accusations.

The bitter rivalry — marked by police petitions, lawsuits, and online hostilities — continues to rank among Nollywood’s most contentious public feuds.
