The Nigerian naira continued to show fluctuations against the U.S. dollar on Sunday, September 21, 2025, at both the black market and the official Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) window.
At the Lagos parallel market (Aboki FX), Bureau De Change (BDC) operators bought the dollar at ₦1,520 and sold it at ₦1,516. Meanwhile, the official CBN rate ranged between ₦1,481 and ₦1,499.

Traders noted that rates may vary depending on location and demand.
The Central Bank of Nigeria has, however, maintained that it does not recognize the parallel market and advised individuals to carry out forex transactions only through authorized banks.
