On September 17, 2024, the Sir Paul Chukwuma Primary Campaign Council held an important meeting with the 52-member State Working Committee (SWC) of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Anambra State. The meeting commenced with a moment of silence for the late Senator Ifeanyi Ubah and aimed to outline Chukwuma’s vision for governance in Anambra.
Chief (Hon.) Ifeanyichukwu Ibezi, the Director-General of the campaign, expressed gratitude to the SWC for their participation. He emphasized Chukwuma's respect for the party and highlighted plans to strengthen its presence through funding for functional offices at the local government and ward levels. Ibezi announced that Chukwuma intends to tour all 326 wards in Anambra by November, urging the SWC to address any vacant party positions to ensure a robust electoral strategy.
In response, APC State Chairman Chief Basil Ejidike thanked Chukwuma for his generous donation of a new state party office, which he deemed suitable for the APC. Ejidike noted that arrangements were in progress to invite the national chairman for the office’s commissioning.
Ejidike praised the quality of Chukwuma's campaign team, appreciating the infusion of fresh ideas and perspectives. He commended Chukwuma's strategy of appointing coordinators at various levels, asserting it would lead to a cohesive party structure.
Reaffirming the party's commitment to a fair primary election process, Ejidike stated, “We are ready to support any candidate the primary election produces,” and emphasized the need for unity and hard work to achieve electoral success.
The meeting concluded with a vote of thanks from Chief Ralph Okeke, the Deputy Director-General (North) of the campaign council, who expressed appreciation for the SWC's warm reception and their readiness to collaborate for party unity and success.
