Imo State Youth Commissioner Hosts Ikeduru Community Youth Presidents
On September 25, 2024, Hon. Dr. Emeka Mandela, the Commissioner for Youth Development and Talent Hunt in Imo State, welcomed a delegation of Ikeduru Community Youth Presidents to his office.
Leading the delegation, Comr. Martins Ogbuji, congratulated Dr. Mandela on his recent appointment, commending his impressive performance since taking office. Ogbuji emphasized that their visit aimed to foster collaboration with the Youth Ministry to promote peace, youth engagement, skill acquisition, and various initiatives across the 29 autonomous communities in Ikeduru.
In his response, Commissioner Mandela praised the group's commitment and outlined the Ministry's objectives. He reiterated the Ministry's dedication to the "3Es" (Enlightenment, Engagement, and Empowerment) as part of the broader "3R Mantra" (Recovery, Reconstruction, and Rehabilitation) championed by Governor Hope Uzodinma.
Dr. Mandela committed to creating a platform for youth engagement that would enhance economic opportunities, addressing unemployment in the state. He urged the Ikeduru Community Youth Presidents to support the "Prosperity Shared 3R Government" led by Governor Uzodinma.
