The Honourable Commissioner for Youth Development and Talent Hunt in Imo State, Dr. Emeka Mandela, welcomed members of the Inclusive Nigerian Youths (I.N.Y) during a courtesy visit on September 20, 2024. 

During the meeting, Comr. George-white Vincent Kelechi praised the Commissioner for his appointment, crediting the Governor for selecting a youth leader for the ministry. 

Comr. Victoria Ogunsuada outlined I.N.Y's objectives, emphasizing advocacy and capacity building to empower young Nigerians in politics and governance. Comr. Obasi Caleb discussed the importance of youth involvement in climate initiatives, particularly in pet recycling, highlighting its environmental benefits and job creation potential.

Comr. Chikamso Ephraim stressed the significance of inclusive political participation as essential for stable societies and responsive policymaking.

Dr. Mandela commended their ideas, urging greater youth representation in political processes. He emphasized the need for young people to be informed about their rights and encouraged I.N.Y to continue advocating for their inclusion in decision-making.

The meeting concluded with an invitation for the Commissioner to participate in an upcoming youth debate, followed by a vote of thanks from Comr. Ogunsuada.
