New Owerri, Imo State – September 21, 2024 – At an event held at L'Arcade Mall on Friday, Dr. Emeka Mandela, the Honourable Commissioner of Youth Development and Talent Hunt, emphasized Governor Hope Uzodinma's dedication to the growth and well-being of Imo youths. This took place during the Whoba Ogo Foundation's presentation of awards to outstanding graduates of its first cohort and orientation for the upcoming group.

The Whoba Ogo Foundation, a non-profit organization focused on providing health and educational support to underprivileged communities in Nigeria, celebrated its achievements in youth empowerment. Dr. Jude Muojekpe, the foundation’s coordinator, outlined its mission, which includes primary healthcare initiatives and skill acquisition programs, particularly a successful ICT tuition-free training that has benefitted over 80 young individuals.

Dr. Mandela, represented by Permanent Secretary Dr. Lady Dorothy Mirikwe, praised the foundation's efforts in youth development. She urged graduates and incoming students to embrace perseverance and moral integrity, aligning their efforts with the foundation’s selfless service ethos. 

The event saw attendance from various dignitaries, including Amb. Ifeoma Ibeka and Barr. Bright Eluagu, highlighting a collective commitment to uplifting the youth in Imo State.
