Members of the Communication and Media Studies Students Association (CAMSSA) from the Faculty of Communication and Media Studies at Imo State University Owerri visited the Honourable Commissioner for Youth Development and Talent Hunt in Imo State, Dr. Emeka Mandela, on Wednesday, September 11, 2024. The visit was to congratulate him on his recent appointment and express their support.

The delegation, led by Faculty President Comr. C.D Onyeaju, used the opportunity to extend an invitation to Dr. Mandela for the upcoming Faculty Career/Lecture Day. The event is designed to offer students valuable insights into various career paths within their field.

Comr. Onyeaju praised Governor Hope Uzodinma for appointing a dynamic and young leader like Dr. Mandela, highlighting the relevance of the Career/Lecture Day in fostering professional development.

In response, Dr. Mandela expressed appreciation for the visit, encouraging students to adhere to the ethical standards of their field and support the "Prosperity Shared 3R Government" led by Governor Uzodinma. He acknowledged the importance of the Career/Lecture Day and confirmed his intention to attend.

The visit concluded with Dr. Mandela receiving an invitation to the Faculty Career/Lecture Day, where he will also be honored with an outstanding award.
