Owerri, 21st August 2024—The official launch of Classmigo, an innovative online educational app, took place on Wednesday, 21st August 2024, at Rock View Hotel, Owerri. The event saw the attendance of prominent government officials and dignitaries, who highlighted the significant impact Classmigo is poised to make in the realm of education.
In her keynote address, Mrs. Umeh Ukamaka Olivia, the Head of the Ministry of Labour, Employment, and Productivity, emphasized the importance of education and innovation. She lauded Classmigo as a transformative tool that promises to enhance learning skills, describing it as a dynamic advancement in education that should be embraced by policy-makers, particularly in regions striving to keep pace with global educational developments.
Mrs. Ukachukwu further elaborated on the importance of integrating Classmigo into the educational system, urging government bodies to support the initiative and help infuse it into public education.
Representing the Honourable Commissioner for Youth Development, Dr. Emeka Mandela, the Permanent Secretary of the Youth Development Ministry, Dr. Mirikwe Dorathy, commended the event organizers. Dr. Mirikwe highlighted the app's potential to not only boost the learning capabilities of young people, particularly children, but also to shift their focus from passive entertainment to active educational engagement.
Dr. Mirikwe also extended gratitude to the Pan-Nigerian Youth Governor, His Excellency, Distinguished Senator Hope Uzodinma, and Commissioner Dr. Emeka Mandela for their steadfast dedication to improving educational standards in Imo State.
Dignitaries in attendance praised the initiative for its aim to make quality digital education accessible to both underprivileged and affluent students alike.
