The Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Oyo State, southwest Nigeria, Isaac Omodewu, has passed away. Omodewu, who had left Nigeria in November 2023 for a medical trip, died in the United States of America (USA), where he was receiving treatment.

Emmynet24 Reports that the Oyo APC Chairman succumbed to a prolonged undisclosed ailment after nearly a year of treatment in the USA, where he held citizenship.

The sad news was confirmed by the Oyo State Publicity Secretary, Olawale Sadare, who in a brief statement to PUNCH said, "Our chairman is dead." 

Omodewu's passing marks a significant loss for the APC in Oyo State, and his contributions to the party and the state will be remembered.
