Did you know that Albert Einstein's brain was stolen after his death? Einstein was a Nobel Prize-winning scientist who developed the theory of relativity and the law of the photoelectric effect.
Before passing away on April 18, 1955, from an abdominal aortic aneurysm, Einstein left detailed instructions for what should happen to his remains.
To prevent becoming worshiped, his remains were to be incinerated, and the ashes dispersed covertly.
But, the doctor who conducted an autopsy on him, Thomas Harvey, stole his brain a few hours after he passed away.
When Harvey, a pathologist at Princeton Hospital in Princeton, New Jersey, performed an autopsy on Einstein, he took advantage of the chance to steal Einstein's brain in an effort to unlock the genius of the late scientist.
