Governorship Election: OAU Postpones Resumption date

The Obafemi Awolowo University in Ile-Ife, Osun State, changed the start date for the institution's students on Sunday.

The management said that although the students had been scheduled to return to campus on March 15, 2023, they would instead do so on March 21.

According to a statement from the university's public relations officer, Mr. Abiodun Olanrewaju, the change was brought on by the postponement of the governorship and House of Assembly elections.

Following the Independent National Electoral Commission's decision to postpone the governorship and House of Assembly elections, the university administration hereby informs the public, in particular students, that the return to academic activities, which were previously scheduled to begin on March 15, 2023, will now take place on March 21, 2023.

"As a result, classes will resume as usual on Monday, March 20, 2023, with students returning to campus. We wish our students a secure journey back to college," part of the statement stated.
